UAB Hospital Pharmacy Internship

Card text

The UAB Pharmacy Acute Care Internship Program at UAB Hospital facilities is a 21-month opportunity designed for pharmacy students interested in health system pharmacy. Our program offers a comprehensive learning experience that integrates hands-on training, clinical shadowing, research opportunities, and mentorship within a large academic medical center.

Interns work as paid pharmacy technicians, gaining exposure to hospital pharmacy operations, clinical services, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The program emphasizes professional development and is tailored to help students become highly competitive candidates for their future careers upon graduation.

This internship takes place at UAB Hospital or UAB Hospital-Highlands, with structured experiences throughout the program. From staffing to medication reconciliations, quality improvement projects to CV workshops, our goal is for our interns to graduate with real-world skills and career direction.
